Hi All

I just came across this just now and I want more information on this because I have people that I think can be assisted in terms of skills and scholarship, I don't have much to offer myself but I want be able to assist where I can, this is a wonderful forum and bless those who are willing to assist without anything in return, also create a whatsapp group or something to share ideas.

regards
Primrose

Hello,

I am a Motswana lady of 51 years. A lecturer for Integrated Early Childhood Development from an Open and Distance Learning Institution called BOCODOL. (Transforming into an Open University). I have to enrol for PhD in the field of Early childhood but there is a lot of untapped knowledge in Botswana that need to be studied. I therefore need help to be sponsored for some research opportunities around my country before I can start the actual study.

My interest is more on developing a scientific mind in children. Our society is more on refusing children to explore their environment as in most cases they believe children will be exposed to danger. I believe through proper training of practitioners including parents, in the field of early childhood, every child could unleash every scientific potential within him or her. This could raise future scientist with in our country who will develop our country into the brighter future.

Please advice me on how to volunteer so that I take a decision.
I have MA in Education (Early Years) with the University of London (United Kingdom) and I specialised in Science at Bachelors degree in Primary Education.

Thank you

Being part of the family

Hi, i'm Ranale, preferrably called Porter by my peers,24 years od age, currently going for my last year at University of Technology. the course that i'm doing is, Software development, 2nd year.

i have previously volunteered at Lovelife trust. its a compaign that deals with community service, helping the youth to be alert with their health situations. i was situated at Hlatlolanang Youth centre in Limpopo province, South Africa for 2 years.

and also i have volunteered in my university under the Directorate of Health and wellness as a Peer educator for 2 years as well.

it would really be a great honor and appreciation to be part of H.A.S in making change for the people around the globe.

if there's any space or intake for me to join, i can do it ASAP. Reason being is that i won't be registered for my final year at the university due to lack of funding for my outstanding fees of the year 2014. so i'd rather do something else like improving lives than just sitting at home doing gardening/house hold job.

i"d really appreciate it if you take my application/req uest into consideration.

Yours faithfully
R "Porter" Choenyana

Our Eagleheight University College requests the services of Nurses/Health Volunteers to teach in our nursing college.

Also, we need organisations that could help us to stock our library with books on health.

Good afternoon,

I am Roukiyat Issa Goba and I am preparing my master's degree in Management and Business Studies.
I would like to join your team because I am willing to help students to find and choose the right way to get them into successful studies above all african students from modest families as me.
You may say that my vow is a common wish but what makes mine different is I act for change,I am a dreamer not a dreamy person. So I would like to make african students'realis tic dreams come true .
In order to bring this change,I started my fight within my community but lack of influent relationship,I was enable to concrete my project for myself and for the numerous students that I met from whom I collect aspirations and get force to realize my vow.
I hope this message will help you to decide whatever you will integrate me or not to your team as volunteer.
I am look forward to hearing from your response.

Dear Dan,
Many governmental/NG O scholarship target them which is great but added to that, universities around the world heavily rely on PhD students to carry various research project. As a consequence research assistantship positions become available every day in universities across Europe, America, and Asia. It is important to note that many of these opportunities are never publicized over the internet so the best way to go about it is to prepare a nice CV and cover letter and start visiting website of universities in your targeted field and country looking for openings and also collecting the emails of faculty whose research interest coincide with yours. After this is done send them an email many reply you know and if you have done great things research –wise in the pass you can get lucky; what more there is little to no competition at times
How do you find faculty more likely to hire? Those with NIH grant money are listed here: projectreporter.nih.gov/.../
Another option: www.helpforafricanstudents.org /.../
Here is something I highly recommend:

Subject: Request for financial assistance to study in usa

Dear

Currently studying in facultee of legal and political sciences my schedule does not allow me to find a job in parallel with my studies. However, given my precarious financial situation, it would be me strongly necessary.
Let me ask you because I really need financial assistance.
Indeed, independent since 18 February 2013, I have to travel to Qatar but I am 4 months, no job no nutrition. As for my parents, they no longer live. I'm an orphan of father and mother. s you please I'm in great pain in qatar help me so that I can continue my studies.
Waiting to meet you, please accept, Madam, Sir, the assurance of my sincere greetings.

Hi Maria, My name is Richard, I came across HAS and your experience as a Volunteer from South Africa. We can each make a difference for our areas with some little help or volunteer assistance. We are opening up a new school in Kiboga which we want a few volunteers to help with our fund raising efforts. we would be glad to discuss other details and if you want, please just contact us back through our donation page on global giving: globalgiving.org/.../...

Dear Tabitha,
Our organization does not itself fund scholarships; rather, we compile scholarships from across the internet/around the world for which African students are eligible.
Using our search engine, you can look for scholarships that
fit your specific profile. Remember to make your search as broad as
possible. What this means is only limiting one or two criteria if your initial search does not yield many results. Here is the address of our search engine: www.helpforafricanstudents.org /.../ once you locate one or more scholarships that suit your needs, feel
free to ask us for advice/support on the application steps (CV, letter
of motivation etc....)
Be sure you read this article over and over: helpforafricanstudents.org/... /...
Check out the following page if you are interested in studying abroad!

Hello! Many governmental/NG O scholarships target students looking to get PhD’s abroad, and universities around the world rely heavily on PhD students to carry out various research projects. As a consequence, research assistantship positions become available every day in universities across Europe, America, and Asia. It is important to note that many of these opportunities are never published over the internet, so the best way to go about it is to prepare a nice CV and cover letter and start visiting the websites of universities in your targeted field and country. Look for openings and collect the emails of faculty whose research interests coincide with yours. Then send them an email—many reply, you know, and if you have done great things research–wise in the past you can get lucky; what is more, there is little to no competition at times.
How do you find faculty more likely to hire? Those with NIH grant money are listed here: projectreporter.nih.gov/.../
Another option is our search engine: www.helpforafricanstudents.org /.../
Check out the following page if you are interested in studying abroad!:

When you have a heart to help your country, government scholarships are a great way to go. In your application be convincing: why should they give the scholarship to you and not another student? are professionals in your field desperately needed in your country? if so why? can your country train such a professional? (If not, they are more likely to sponsor you abroad).
Best wishes!

When you have a heart to help your country, government scholarships are a great way to go. In your application be convincing: why should they give the scholarship to you and not another student? are professionals in your field desperately needed in your country? if so why? can your country train such a professional? (If not, they are more likely to sponsor you abroad).

Note that women, especially those of developing nations, have the biggest chance of obtaining a scholarship. Your chances are even greater when you have good grades. Note that when dealing with government/NGO scholarships, having a great plan to impart serious changes in your community/count ry after your graduation can also increase your chances tremendously. There are a number of scholarships on our website for women. Try checking the 'scholarships for women' box on the search engine and leaving all the other criteria blank.
We wish you the best!

When you have a heart to help your country, government scholarships are a great way to go. In your application be convincing: why should they give the scholarship to you and not another student? are professionals in your field desperately needed in your country? if so why? can your country train such a professional? (If not, they are more likely to sponsor you abroad).

Hey salma

Please follow the advice we often give students: start by making sure that your choice of your future Program is very well plan. Do you have a career plan? is the demand high for professional with the degree you are after? Have you met with some faculty/profess ional to investigate whether you are currently on the right path? Is there something better you qualify for? Do you have a career plan?....
I highly recommend that you pay special attention to our newsletters for they are loaded with advice.

Speaking of education, always remember that there is no bigger mistake than starting a program without knowing where it fits in a career plan. Make sure you do have a career plan. Why do you want that other degree? Which position are you targeting? what is the demand for that type of professional in your country/abroad? do you know what other things will give you and edge once you hit the job market? etc... etc...

Hi,
I am a Cameroonian and I am 26 years old. I presently working as a volunteer staff with the Media Village Nigeria organization. Our goal is to use Media as a tool for Nation building. I was searching for schoolarship and I found your website. I would like to join the H.A.S to bring help to some of our student here in Nigeria who cannot aford the trainings we are giving to them.
You may be aware of the crisis that is going on in Nigeria. How can we help them achive their dream with such a difficult situation? Well! that's where the H.A.S is needed too to transform these people's life. Our schools: video school, School of Design and digital communication, school of strategical communication, school of communication fondation and much more...

So I would love if my request of being one of your volunteer is granted, to help to our student and why not serve Africa as a whole despise my busy schedule so far.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.
