Description

1 Bilborough Scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student of any nationality taking a taught Master's programme in Theology and Religious Studies. The award will cover Standard University Taught Postgraduate Fees at the UK/EU rate. This scholarship is intended for outstanding UK/EU and International Students undertaking a Masters programme in Religion and Public Life, or Theology/Religious Studies and Development Studies for programmes commencing  September 2012.

Eligibility
  • Students will be expected to hold a first class or high upper second honours degree or postgraduate diploma in Theology and/or Religious Studies, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant area of study.

 

  • Before a Bilbrough Scholarship application can be considered candidates are also required to return the appropriate study application form together with full transcripts of final degree results and 2 academic references.  It is the candidate’s responsibility to approach referees and obtain sealed letters of reference. 

 

  • International students for whom English is not their first language must provide evidence of their proficiency in the English language (IELTS certificate or equivalent must be provided).

 

  • Applications for the Bilbrough Scholarship must be returned with a personal statement.

 

Candidates who submit incomplete applications may be ineligible for the competition.

Please return your completed application forms (for Study and Scholarship) and all attachments (transcripts, sealed letters of reference, evidence of English Language proficiency, etc.) to:
