Leveraging the power of internet, provide assistance to students across borders cost-efficiently<\/p>\n

 PROJECT DESCRIPTION <\/strong><\/p>\n

A single piece of information received at a key moment of one’s life can change a destiny for the better!<\/p>\n

That’s the power of information, the dynamic tool at the heart of this unique project! Are you familiar with the sentence: “we learn every day”?  Our world is teeming with information that would dramatically alter people\u2019s lives if only they had access to it. That\u2019s what this help center is  chiefly about. Diverse precious resources (academic, scholarship-related, career development,, etc.) for African students were filtered from the internet and concentrated here. It\u2019s vital to understand that in Africa use of the internet remains a luxury, especially for students who can afford little.  Our project makes this information readily available to them by concentrating all the resources they need in a single website – saving them time and money.<\/p>\n

When you come to think about it, this seemingly simple step sends billions  of dollars\u2019-worth of resources their way instantly<\/strong><\/p>\n

ASSISTANCE THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH AFRICAN UNIVERSITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

AIMS 1<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Helping institution to better prepare student to embrace the job market so as to reduce graduate unemployment and working poverty rate. This is done through capacity building.<\/p>\n

PROJECT DESCRIPTION <\/strong><\/p>\n

Students that after years of education and sacrifice find themselves jobless or working degrading jobs is routine in an overwhelming number of African countries. The reason is simple, curricular are outdated and because they are also irrelevant to the corporate world need even though years after years new graduates pour out of universities employers remain in desperate need of skilled workers. Far from being to earn skills so as to embrace a career, the purpose of education seems to be a diploma. Universities are completely disconnected from the job market.  A recent survey completed by our organization and involving nearly 6000 students from across Africa show that 85% desperately needed academic\/career assistance.<\/p>\n

Imagine an add-on to universities that can solve the bulk of these problems, that\u2019s what we are trying to accomplish through partnership with African universities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

AIM 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Encouraging Student Entrepreneurship – Expanding opportunities and driving better outcomes for African Students<\/p>\n

PROJECT DESCRIPTION <\/strong><\/p>\n

We help grad as undergrad students develop an entrepreneurial type of mindset. We help them see beyond looking for a job after graduation and ask themselves why not becomes an employer (e-businessman preferably) instead. Even though setting up a business requires a lot of seed money or experience, success stories from self-made teen millionaires around the world has shown that in this digital era things doesn\u2019t have to always be that way. THAT’S THE TYPE OF ENCOURAGING MESSAGES WE SHARE ALL THE TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our nonprofit has a lot of capacity when it comes to helping youths (1) think creatively and (2) setting up online businesses. The latter resources and necessary technical assistance are put to their disposal.<\/p>\n
